Students in Malaga University can not pay the yearly fee

University of Malaga UMA has been forced to suspend 1,262 students because of unpaid annual fees. The figure has been presented by the Rector of the University Adelaida de la Calle, who argues that the effects of the crisis persist. She is critical of the cuts made at both the regional and state level, which inter alia manifests itself in fewer scholarships.

This school year has only 12,563 of the total 20,201 applicants granted student financial aid. The university has increased its own aid to students, but this is not enough to avoid that hundreds are forced to break their studies due to lack of funds.
